Newbie Where do i start???

Hello i am brand new to all this and want to create House, Deep House, Tech House, Techno ect. ect.

where do you recommend i start??

Where are the website that i can go to that teach how to produce in these specific genres and music theory behind Electronic music. Thanks :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Some really great, in-depth tutorials on YouTube as well, of course. Ableton has the benefit of having a relative ton of resources online from the community in comparison to some other DAWs.

Furthermore . . .
Check out some other forums too. If you are interested in particular genres, check out forums that relate to that genre regardless of the platform you are creating on.

There's two parts to what you want to do . . .

1) Create Techno (or what ever genre)

2) Use Ableton

Those two things overlap quite a bit but not always.

^^ For sure on the overlapping (generally speaking). I'd suggest learning Ableton as a program first, because trying to produce music without a foundational knowledge of what the tool you're actually using to make it is just plain ol' frustrating. You don't need to be a whiz, because it's not necessary to start, but you should be comfortable with the basic functionality.
