Convert Simpler to Drum Rack BUT end up with Samplers?

Normally, when you convert a Simpler with slices to a Drum Rack, the resulting Drum Rack is using SIMPLERs on each pad.

Is it possible to force it to convert to a Drum Rack with SAMPLERs on each pad instead?

Yes, you need to set Sampler as your default device for sample loading (and/or drum racks).

Very doable. This old video of mine will show how you can create a custom slicing preset that uses Samplers.

Thanks for the replies.

The reason I wanted to do this is so that I can use the Reverse button in Sampler to dynamically reverse samples. But, then I realized that my warping would be lost in Sampler (since Sampler does not warp), so I gave up.

And, since Simpler does not do dynamic reversing, then it's a bit of a catch-22.

The work around - for my use case - is to duplicate Simpler slices, reverse them, and then play or trigger them as needed.

What do you mean by dynamic reversing?
You can reverse the sample in Simpler by context-clicking and selecting Reverse from there.

I mean, reversing by automation or turning a knob. You can't do that with Simpler, but you can with Sampler.
