Novation launch programming

Post by Azalea » Sun Apr 28, 2019 10:56 pm

Hi, everyone! It is my first post here. I have a very specific question. There is something I am trying to do: I have two novation launchpad and I am new to Ableton. The launchpad synchs perfectly with Ableton but what I need to do is slightly different. what I want to do is assigning a MIDI value arbitrarily to the launchpad. I want it to look like this.

F1 C1 G1
F2 C2 G2
F3 C3 G3
F4 C4 G4
F5 C5 G5
..............

And so on...across both units. I want to try how pitch arrangement can affect engagement (organising the pitch in fifths) and also how the learning curve and creativity are affected once you minimise failure by organising the pitch in fifths.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Not sure about that specific pattern, but if you look into the Launchpad95 script, there is an assortment of note layouts to choose from. If you find the website for it you can see a list of the possible layouts.
