Ableton Live sorts all Audio Units by manufacturer although they are stored in the same folder in Mac's Finder without any subfolder for the manufacturer. I guess showing them in their virtual subfolders is done by the Live browser itself.
When I look at my VSTs, they all show up in one folder in the Live browser, which creates a mess and makes it hard to find anything. I tried to create subfolders inside of the VST folder with Mac's Finder and manually move the VSTs there. This worked for most of them but some manufacturers don't allow the moving of a VST file.
Is there a trick how I can make Ableton Live show all VSTs sorted by manufacturer in the same way it does this for Audio Units?
