Mic melodies to midi - best results

Guys,

Quick question. For the most accurate rendering of a Melody line that you might sing into a Mic. What type of Mouth sounds have you found to bring you the best results?. Any particular enunciation, humming, scatting or whistling.

Interested to know what is the general consensus...

It really helps to start every new note with e.g a plosive or a "t".
Avoid vibrato and glide.
Sing in tune.
