Using Ableton for Transport Control of Pro Tools

This is an odd topic and wasn’t sure where I needed to post.

I am trying to use the network midi module to sync a Ableton session to a pro tools session. By this I mean, I want to use midi clips within Ableton to engage transport controls within pro tools (start, stop, jump to next, etc.)

Is anyone doing this currently? Reason being is tracks are ran from a pro tools machine (I can’t change because it is a multi site church that is restricted to using a unified set of equipment across 35 campuses) and my plan was to use midi controllers on stage to launch clips in Ableton, which then will trigger a transport event in pro tools. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
