How To Trigger Recording When First Note is Played?

Post by GTurrini » Thu Feb 06, 2020 1:09 am

Hello,

Can someone help me? I'd like to trigger a record when I play the first note with my Launchkey / Midi Controller? Kind of detect input... start record.
Is it even possible with Ableton Live 10?

Thank You!

I'm not sure how to do what you're asking exactly but I hope this helps.

You can add a lead in before the recording starts.

"You can set a count-in to have some time to get ready before the recording starts. For this click on the little chooser next to the metronome button and choose 1, 2 or 4 Bars for the Count-In from the drop down menu."
