Clip like Legato mode for drum rack/simpler/sampler

I don't think this is possible but can anyone suggest to achieve the clip legato mode for audio in simpler/sampler in drum rack? So you can trigger pads and have the sound synced legato style to the set?

Are you talking about legato as in smooth, or some product named Legato?
