Put plugin/vst only to a single pattern or clip

Post by Sintek » Tue Mar 17, 2020 9:43 pm

Hello everybody!!! As in the subject I really can't find a way to add a plugin/vst effect ONLY to a looped pattern in the arrangement view or in a SINGLE clip in the session view? Instead of using chain selectors, dummy clips, automation/modulation or even create another audio channel with the effect applied and then put the only part of the "master" track I need the effect to work...
I don't think it's possible by now because I'm not quite sure that Ableton could handle layered plugins/takes, but... Any good advice should be awesome!!! Thanks!!!

In short, You can't assign effects to just a clip, you need to use chains, tracks or sends for effects. You can use automation to select effects at the appropriate time too.
