Isochronic Tones

Post by saratogacoach » Sun Mar 28, 2021 1:15 pm

Had been searching for a way to build a basic isochronic tone. Found some help with this using a sine tone and Auto Pan. So, no need for further help. Solved. :)

Best Wishes,

In the generator set Left to 100 and Right to 98 or 99, Utility set to Mono, in Gate Threshold -2/3, Return about 2, Attack/Hold/Release all around 5, Floor maybe to "-inf dB" (aka "zero", minimum value of that knob).

The bigger the difference between Left and Right frequencies, the faster the beat.

Each time you change frequencies you will have to adjust the Gate settings to avoid clicks, since it will depend on the frequency. Lower frequencies will require longer Attack and Release.

F1 to F8 keys to mute Track 1 to 8.

For recording, using Resampling is probably the easiest way:

Thank you for this helpful reply and suggestions for settings related to Henri Falk's Max for Live device (https://maxforlive.com/library/device/5 ... -generator).

I also appreciate the information about how settings are related and how to compensate for changes that are made.

Re: recording, I will check on the leads that you have provided.

Helps me to learn. :)

Again, thank you for your kind help.
