I'm trying to do something that seems like it should be really easy but I cannot figure out how to tell it to the interface.
I want to play an instrument into a recording, then trim it into a loop, and then build the rest of a song around it. I won't know the tempo to set Ableton at until I've finished recording and trimming the audio. I thought that if I turned off warp, then adjusted the tempo, then turned warp back on so the loop button would become active, that would do what I wanted. That doesn't seem to be the case.
Does anyone have a tip for doing this style of workflow?
Recording audio, then choosing a tempo to match

Hello
Use the live's looper with "set tempo mode"
And drag the first loop in a track
The tempo of live will follow this first loop
