Record new clip with keystroke not mouse click

Post by addazerty » Mon Nov 22, 2021 12:49 pm

Hi everyone !
Pretty new on Ableton (Logic Pro X user here).
I wanted to jump into the live looping scene and got almost everything i need to work as I intend it to but there's one thing I can't figure out.
I have a live matrix as shown here :

I have an Akai MPD218 set so I can go right, left, up and down in this matrix.
The behaviour I wish to get is to be able to record in the cell under another one without having to click with the mouse on the record circle :

I already have the session record button mapped but when the first line is looping i can't record in the cell under then one looping.
But in the same scenario, clicking on the button launch the recording in this cell.

Is there something I'm doing wrong ?

I'm French, sorry if my explanation isn't clear.

You can select the new clip with the arrow keys and press enter to start recording
