I have the looper plugin mapped to a midi commander... 1=record, 2=stop, 3=clear
1. record a loop in (a simple drum beat)
a. press record again to end the loop and begin playback.
2. stop the loop.
a. press stop
b. press clear
3. stop the project and return it to 1. 1. 1.
now here's where it gets weird.
4. record a new loop
a. press record again to end the loop.
it will play a bit of the new loop, then start playing the PREVIOUSLY CLEARED LOOP.
also, if I perform the actions by using the mouse, everything works correctly. previous loop is gone.
but if I clear everything, then do the same thing from the midi commander, the previous loop comes back.
help!

You might want to contact support@ableton.com for that one.
Re: looper plugin remembering previous loop
I sometimes get that but when using undo…I think it is due to my midi controller and the messages it’s sends though. What works best for me is having my switches only sending midi notes in a momentary state. Also, you can clear a loop by double tapping and holding the rec button….which is handy and frees up a switch.
Re: looper plugin remembering previous loop
I had this happening when the pedal was sending a CC message. I changed it to note and never had the problem again.

Re: looper plugin remembering previous loop
Hey Folks,
i have the same issue, but the "trick" with changing the MIDI messages to Note does not help. I use a Hotone Ampero Control and Ableton 11.3.3.
I found out that the looper jumps to "Undo" after one bar when i record the second loop after pressing "clear" or if i do an overdub. If i use the mouse, everything works fine.
The Ableton support is never answering a question. It's the worst support ever.
