set the stage for improvising with parameters

Post by baseinstinct » Sat May 28, 2022 9:11 am

You have a midi or an audio loop of 16 bars but now want to do some session tweaking to the parameters. You expect you will be playing around with more than one and longer than the length of the clip. How do you set the stage?

One way is to think which parameters are going to be tweaked, unloop them and increase their loop length to some huge number. However, this has little to do with improvising.
Another if it is a midi loop, duplicate it several times, and the whole space for tweaking will follow. Just came up with this one - might be the best option for midi.
Now, how about audio loops?
