In Live8 shift+arrow up/down doesn't only transpose notes an octave up/down in clip view, it also works in the pitch plugin!

insert silence - Ctrl(cmd), I

omg love it!! has this been here the whole time or is it just in live 8.. i have no idea but i just discovered it :)

i discovered insert silence then deduced that the others must exist and they do..i bet i gain a couple of weeks of free time over my life span by using these functions :D

discovered this a few weeks ago, but it's been giving me smiles throughout this all-day/all-night session today:

select time anywhere (arrangement time, or in a midi clip, or in audio when warping), then double-click the zoom area... zooms to fit selection

1. take the whole vocal take, and load it into sampler. set a ton of different zones with different cue points. try to be as random as possible, like halfway through a word or whatever. keep little clusters where the cue points are close (like different words in a line). you will need about 20-30 of these zones.

oh yeah and also:

TIP:
To add an effect to an individual cell/chain on a drum rack, you can simply drop the effect from the browser onto the cell itself, rather than at the fiddley end of its device chain.
