Newb question

Post by Zonkerbl » Sat Oct 28, 2006 4:48 pm

I'd like to start out with the easy stuff first, figure out how to do what I know how to do already and then move on to more complicated things.

So... where's the eq fader? Checked out the tips and tricks sticky but didn't see it.

You have to drag an EQ effect to the channel - there are no hardwired EQ's on the channel strips themselves.

EQ3 is a DJ-type effect, while EQ4 sound better, but is also more CPU hungry.

Can't quite figure out how to do this.

I mean I can use eq three to move bass over from channel a to b with the crossfader. But then how do I get mid and highs over without moving the bass back from b to a? Am I supposed to have three versions of the same track running at the same time or something?

Or am I supposed to wire the eqs to my controller (which I don't have)?

Well, I think I've figured it out, though it takes a ton of keystrokes and fiddling with the crossfader.
