(almost) CLICKLESS DUAL COMP

Requires Dual Comp AU - http://www.teragon.org/
I was excited about this, unfortunately it doesn't work for me, it just mutes the track I am compressing. I have tried putting an instance of DualComp, which works fine, but when I set your rack up in exactly the same way it just doesn't work. Can anyone help me?

for some reason just having the rack in my live set cuts out all the sound, even before I do any signal routing... weird...

Here's how the routing should look like

Image

Make sure that the 1st send output goes to the 1st dual comp 3/4 instance, the 2nd send to the 2nd 3/4 instance and so on. If 2 or more sends go to the same instance it'll lower the compressed signal volume.

Weird, for some reason my setup didn't like your rack, the sound just kept completely cutting out as soon as your rack was in my set, even without sending anything through it. I just got a click sound followed by silence. I rebuilt the rack almost exactly, and it works fine... how strange.

Tried it with both my Kontrol 49's keys and my BCR2000 buttons sending CCs. The step mute buttons can be mapped to notes no problem, and to be mapped to buttons sending CCs, the buttons have to be set to Toggle.

Just grabbed the racks on the front page this weekend, after playing around a bit I am LOVING them! Some really inspirational stuff... I especially like Angstrom's drum player & really all the drum racks.

Someone said they hadn't felt the need to upgrade to 6 until this - I know what you mean, this is the first time I feel I'm really taking advantage of the new features.

+1 for sticky!

How about posting this in the List of Tips & Tricks (and a Wiki) thread? (which is already a sticky)
