How Do I tweak midi params without recording them?

I have:
Korg MS-20 plugin on a midi track, with a bar loop of data.

I want:
To tweak the sound with my external MS-20 controller, but not record the CC data, yet still have the loop play.

How?
iBook G4 1Ghz w 768 mB RAM, internal Audio

deactivate 'overdub' (OVR) next to the 'return to arrangment' and 'record' button
