Device ON/OFF treshold
Device ON/OFF treshold
does anybody know how to make Live lower the velocity treshold of the Device ON/OFF from 64 to, say, 10?

it's a little trippy to use, but play around with the max/mins in the midi mapping window. i've got live to do whatever i want after enough fucking around... not sure exactly WHY it worked in any given instance, but i got it to work. for really quick thresholds try setting min to 0 and max to 2, or vice versa.
it's a bit odd... it seems that you can make controllers which are off at both ends, and on in the middle, or vice versa too... it really is odd.

yea dude, it's all about that aftertouch.4.33 wrote:The Phat Conductor, i got it to work setting the min to 1-10 and max to 127.
that is it's on no matter how hard a pad is pressed.
now my trigger finger can beat a kaoss pad many thanx for the tip!
i often have the pressure set to grid on beat repeat. that way you can 'squish' your edits hard or soft. a light touch just turns it on, interval 1/4, grid 1/8, then squish it to make the grid grind.
fun!

Should just be able to just right click the map description in MidiMap Browser and select "invert"...prebentious wrote:Mr. Phat Conductor Sir!
Is there any way you could explain your trick of making a contol be off in the middlle and on at both ends?
This might be just what I', lookign for!
Thanks!

Now, it is possible to set up min and max value for such a mapped button.
The idea is that when the CC value is between min and max, the button is switched on (or off in reverse mode).
If the CC value is outside the min and max range, the button is switched off (or on in reverse mode).
