Is there a good freeware osx plugins list?

Post by Fidel » Thu Sep 20, 2007 2:07 pm

I've never owned a Mac before this week, I have a pc background... And besides livecut and instajungle I have no idea what the good freeware osx vsts are. Theres gotta be a bunch of awesome stuff out there but I don't know where to start.. Anybody got any favorites? Basslines, Leads, Effects? Know of a good list?

kvr has a search function. You can narrow your search to OSX, bass synths, modulation fx, etc etc.

Thanks laird, I knew about kvr.. Created a couple of searches to keep myself updated. I was hoping for something a bit more like tadx's comment though.

Like if you were a complete newb with windows software and audio production, I would suggest odosynths, tweakbench, glitch and instajungle and livecut. No nonsense, easy to use and easy on the proc(s) vsts that sound great. Oh, and e-phonic for drum machines... Good software, but thank you for telling me what everybody already knows.

anyway.. gersic.com/plugins is a great resource for free software for both camps, I was just hoping for something like... Dude! you gotta get plugin X! It's the shizzit! I guess I should have been more specific.

I think Triple Cheese is the best freebee for Mac.

Check out Crystal, Automat, and others in the free universal binary list (only 19 on KVR).
