To do what you want, You can use Cubase. It has a really GOOD midi editor, with random pattern. You can add function, build your own "random" laws and pattern, ect...it works well. And there is more groove option. :)

Suppose you have Cubase and Live, the simpliest way is to use Live in Rewire, so you can have your project in Live, your midi in cubase. Once your midi edited and finished, export it, drop Cubase and use only Live. 8)

It works really well for me. I wish Live has built-in midi functions like Cubase does. :roll:

Now I'm not sure you can call Reason4 a plug-in with a straight face, but I think it has attempted to tackle the issue in the form of the new Regroove mixer. I don't have a lot of experience with it yet, but I think you might find it more useful than I have so far. I'm one of the people who like their beats all in-human sounding. :wink:
