How do you create up-tempo clips???

Post by RhinoInRio » Thu Dec 13, 2007 12:38 pm

Hi there!
Ok, I'll try in this catagory...
I'm trying to create clips with notes that start just a little before the 1. I do not want to quantanize(to the 1/4) because I want to keep the feel upity. Is there some trick?? I couldn't find reference to this anywhere (including the manual, lessons or tutorial).
If I move the brace to the point before the 1, for ex. 4-e-and-a, the clip plays from this point as a full 1.

Select all the notes you played, press CTR-4 ( PC) to disable grid allignment, and move all the notes you want to the left, as much as you need. That what you meant?

You can start the clip on the up beat, set the quantisation setting of this clip to 1/8, and start it on the "4-and-a". be sure to remove that eitth note at the end of your clip.
