Post by the3r » Tue May 25, 2004 12:46 am

is there a way i can warp one file and then apply those warp locations to another? i have two guitar tracks- one mic on the amp and a room mic. i want identical warping for both tracks. how can i do this?

You can just make copies of the associated .ASD file for your warped clip and rename them to match the wave files that you want to warp. This is assuming your audio files (.WAV or AIFF) are the exact same length.

Alternately you can copy the warped clip, and replace the audio within that clip which leaves the warp markers alone.

Are you certain that would work? I thought the .asd file contained more info than just warp markers... so at the very least the wave view would be messed up... or does it just recalculate the wave but leave the warp markers the same?

maintaing clip properties

I think this will work:
1/Make a copy of the clip whose properties you wish to assign to another wav.
2/Drag and drop your new wav onto the clip edit window (where you see the wave form) of the copied clip.
3/Clip properties should be maintained, I'm assuming this includes warp markers, although I haven't done it myself.
