external editor

Post by Philippe_Michael » Mon Feb 04, 2008 5:56 pm

Hey there!? I was surprised the other day when I wanted to edit a sample in my external editor that the button isn't there anymore. The little feature next to reverse and save in the sample tab. Is this function moved or simply not there anymore? What would be the best way to send my sample out of Ableton (since I haven't found it in any of the folders for recorded audio)?

Thanx!

Finding Samples

No, the external editor is still available in live 7, just where it always was. Can you send a screenshot of the missing button?

Go to Edit > Preferences and under the "File Folder" tab make sure your Sample Editor has been specified.

If you're looking for the locations of all the samples used in your project, go to View > File Manager and click on "Manage Project".

I've selected my editor in the preference tabs (Soundforge). But I'm still using live 6... I am presently at work so I can't send you a pic, but I will as soon as I get to my computer.
