hi boys! im searching for a way to use vst plugins in vlc player.
i want to use a limiter to reduce the highest dynamics when i watch movies late at night.
has anyone a clue.

On OS X:
Run the output of VLC through soundflower (set it as the default output in AudioMIDI utility), then into live apply the VST you want and set th output in live to be the actual output you want.
On Linux, you could do this through Jack - replacing Ableton for Rosegarden or similar.
Windows, no idea - does it have something like soundflower?
