[n00b question] Save clip option...

Post by Tuur » Fri Apr 25, 2008 1:13 pm

Where is it?

As far as I can tell I can only create and load clips.

When I edit an existing clip I can't save the new version with the original name one way or the other? Drag and drop always creates a new clip.

I must be missing something here... :?

As an experiment i just dragged in a recording and pitched it down heaps, then hit save in the sample box, opened a new set without saving the set and dragged the same recording in from the browser and it was still pitched down.

So u can save that kind of stuff.
Was it other stuff u wanted?

U can also use the Edit button in the sample box to open an external editor where hitting save on any changes will make them permanently apply to any instances of that sample in any set.

Excuse me. I forgot to mention I was editing envelopes...

A save button there would be nice too.

when you drag the clip to the browser, at first it looks like you are saving a copy.

and you will, if you don't match the previous name

but if you use the same name, it will replace the old one

is that what you mean?

Of course. :)

But a 'save clip' option would have made sense IMHO.

Thanks anyway guys.
