hey how are y'all doing veterans livers?
this is a random question but in many music videos i think i saw an external recorder. Do professional recording studios actually use external recorders to record whatever that comes out of the master bus of their mixing console? or is it just to make it look cool in the video? lol....
The last one i saw was in Ryan Leslie's addiction video (the second one). we can see it as the video starts.

What u see in the video is not an 'external' tape recorder... it is a 24? or something tape recorder, made for an analog session. (with out use of computers) But I personaly don't think they have been using one of those for the example. It's proably just there for its good looks :D
