Post by david.barker » Sun Jul 31, 2022 7:13 pm

Hi everyone
Just wondering when Live 12 will make an appearance?
I haven't been in here much, due to ill health and lots of hard work and recovery

And I really need to get back in the loop (no pun intended) well a little bit  And make some music ,find my mojo again

I seriously hope Ableton Live tracks and busses will at last become multichannel.

Ideally any channel/bus could be mono, stereo or any number of channels, allowing surround standard formats, ambisonics, binaural ...Etc
(please don't answer me it works in M4L, because it doesn't)

Best regards

Sounds like you need to switch over to Cubase/Nuendo.

I hope they'll make Analog & Operator MPE capable and all the modulators (LFO, Shaper, Env. Follower) polyphonic before releasing v12 :)

If Live tracks soon becomes really multichannel (using free polyphony busses as mc. in MaxMSP already does), Live will become much more powerful than existing mutichannel busses DAWs, because the hole process will be done "Live", allowing many new applications to rise and new musical paradigms to take over.
