Tone change for one sample in drum rack

Post by Olayrolay » Sun Sep 17, 2017 5:44 am

Hello all,

I'll be straight to the point. I got the ''Digicussion 2'' pack. In the ''Clips'' subfolder and the ''Scorched Kit 03.alc'' file, you can hear different tones of the same sample. For example, the sample, ''Dist Scorched'' sounds different every time it's being played on the drum rack in the ''Scorched Kit 03.alc'' file. I tried to find how this is possible and I haven't got a single clue on how to achieve this. Does anyone know how to do this?

After your post I've looked at that .alc and didn't find anything in the chain and device either that would account for the change of tone.

It's in the midi clip: Activate the envelope frame, then open the upper dropdown for the device menu. Look for devices with a red square in front, those have a clip automation going on. Click one of those and repeat with the lower dropdown (parameter menu). You'll find that Dist Scorched 03 2 and Dist Scorched 03 3 automate Transpose Modulation.

Clever.

Wow, this is clever indeed! This opens a very large spectrum of new possibilities. Thanks friend!

Edit: I just removed what I was saying that was similar to what you wrote earlier.
