With Max 4 Live you can probably make a device that will look into your fridge and report back.

I though I posted this in "general" was my thread moved to "the Lounge"? Even weirder than my fridge light!

Re: The light in my fridge
Haha I wondered how long this would takedjsynchro wrote:I though I posted this in "general" was my thread moved to "the Lounge"? Even weirder than my fridge light!
Time to start another thread in General, see how long it takes for the grownups to move it to the wasteland aka "the Lounge" where threads come to die...
Re: The light in my fridge
Right.... if the light inside my fridge switches off but I have no way of verifying that... did it really go off?
Re: The light in my fridge
I had an idea... you know those home ice-cream makers? You stick the whole thing in the freezing compartment but the electric lead comes out because the thing needs to churn the ingredients while they freeze. The cable coming out is possible because there's that rubbery stuff that lines the door and it's flexible.... So it would be possible to have a photocell..... OMG forget it. My video camera runs on a rechargeable battery, I can start it, stick it in the fridge, close the door, take it out again before it frezes and play back the tape.
Pure genius. No drilling required. Batteries not included. Under 6 years needs adult supervision. Do try this at home. Contains small parts. Not suitable for computers running OSX. Best before: See date on bottom. After opening store cool & dark. If in fridge make sure light goes OFF when door is shut.

I'm now working on a project with my girlfriend who is a dancer and guess what : we are about to investigate this great topic of the light and the life in a fridge.

Re: The light in my fridge
Wow I just tried it with my DV camera... the light does go out. This thread is dead
Re: The light in my fridge
I dont want to get into Heisenberg here, but your experiment doesnt proof anything. The light might have went out just because you put the DV camera inside.djsynchro wrote:Wow I just tried it with my DV camera... the light does go out. This thread is dead
And keeps burning with no DV camera inside.
This thread is still alive.

Excellent. This is correct.derzai wrote:I dont want to get into Heisenberg here, but your experiment doesnt proof anything. The light might have went out just because you put the DV camera inside.djsynchro wrote:Wow I just tried it with my DV camera... the light does go out. This thread is dead

by observing the experiment you change the results. Heisenbergs Uncertainty Principle.
Although this is surely a case of Schroedinger's Fridge.
Re: The light in my fridge
That borders on insane, there would have to be a DV camera detector in my fridge. I asked the gnome who lives behind it (it's a warm place) and he agrees that sounds stupid. Yes I couls ask him to go inside and look but he hates the cold, and I don't think he trusts me to let him out, Gnomesoup!
