Attention users of Sony MDR-7506 and V6 headphones...

Post by Sales Dude McBoob » Wed Feb 10, 2010 7:21 pm

You probably love your headphones just the way they are, but I'm here to tell ya that they can be ten thousand times better!

::stands on soap box, whips out small vial of snake oil elixir::

Yes sir! Step right on up and try the new Pearstone Deluxe Earpads! They fit on your MDR-7506, V6, and even the lowly Audio Technica M-30 headphones! You'll feel like you're wearing those fancy Beyer Dynamic headphones that Sparklepuff probably owns...

Why wait? Why hesitate? Treat your ears to the comfort they deserve! Just like a fresh coat of paint makes any room look a thousand times better, these new soft velour earpads will make your ears feel like a million dollar bill!!!

There's no mention of these on the Lady Gaga site. So they're crap.

The left ear buds of my brand new pair of 7506s just inadvertently fell out, so I'm getting a kick out of this thread.

You could say it's a bad romance.

Pray tell, Mr. McBoob, do these work with 7509s?

Nope. They work with 7506, V6, and Audio Technica M30's. We managed to squeeze a pair onto Audio Technica M40's, but it was such a light fit that stretched the material so much that we decided not to claim compatibility with those.

Yeah, that's a long time issue with 7506. It happened to mine too. I've had these new deluxe pads on for a week and this hasn't happened yet... but that doesn't mean much. The first time the earpad fell off my 7506's was about 6 months into using them. I won't claim that these pads don't have that issue until I've used them constantly for a year or more. So this thread may return!

Mr. McBoob..

do you happen to know if these fit the ATH-M50? the earpads are probably my only complaint on those cans..

After experimental surgery, the prognosis has been confirmed...

These things totally don't fit on the ATH-M50's.

OOH! I have MDR V6's, and though they're not my first choice, I do go back to them a LOT for A/B-ing stuff. The ear cups are still in good shape though. Maybe when they start falling apart i'll consider these.
