Pomplamoose sold 20.000 songs on iTunes in September 2009 alone. Both Jack and Nataly make a living out of selling mp3s. they very rarely perform live and - as a musical act - exist primarily on the internet. they have more than 80.000 followers on their youtube channel. kudos for that!
The VideoSong (what you see is what you hear and when you hear something, at some point you'll see it was used by Jack to gain exposure to promote his - conventionally produced - albums. Eventually, people started to ask for the mp3s.
