I only listened to the previews on iTunes and nothing made me want to buy it. I wasn't excitedly anticipating this release, but yeah, I was really meh when I heard the previews.

its effing terrible. Damon albarn spent too long composing chinese monkey operas to focus on this dog turd of an album it seems. Its just grossly 80`s cheese. really truly disappointed.

a friend just told me Mos Def is on 2 tracks... and someone else really good is on 2 more... but I forget who right now and can't be bothered to look anymore on their website... Mos Def raises the bar back from Snoop, but the damage is done. The guy has a cool voice, but if I have to hear anymore rhymes about getting faded and some bullshit ass pimping...

I really don't care what vocalists or rappers are featured in the songs because the songs are just crappy regardless. The featured vocalists might be the only appealing thing to some people.

I listened to it twice on Rhapsody earlier in the week. There wasn't really anything that got my head bobbing after the first listen, but I was doing some serious programming at the time, so I thought maybe I'd been distracted and listened to it again with more attention. After the second, I was still 'meh'. I'll be curious to see if any of the singles break out.

I didn't post a review.

What are you? the media? trying to pass some sound bite off as something it never was?

based on John Gordon's review and the fact that they chose Snoop of all the broken record rappers out there.

When has somebody not hearing or seeing something ever stopped them from making a review?

I've read countless "This movie sucks. I walked out after the first 10 minutes....." reviews.

^ I have too, but... that still doesn't change my post into a review.

but didn't you guys hear? Pitchfork.com gave it an 8.5 and said it's their best work yet, so IT MUST BE TRUE!

but anyway, I bought it and have only had time to hear it once, and I liked it! I honestly don't understand what's so crushingly disappointing about it to most of you......though early early album appraisals from me are destined to change quickly and widely with further listen, we'll see...
