(or whatev you wana call it) "music"?

I create "music" because it's [EDIT-(one of)] the coolest things so far I have found to occupy my hollow life. I hate music but I love music. It's hard to explain. Sometimes I hate all of you. But sometimes I love all of you. It's kind of like that.

Sounds strangely familiar really...

I think music is the BEST way for humans to portray emotion. I think it spans cultures and social gridlocks and can evoke deep emotions with simply a few notes...in short.

For the pure LOVE of it. I've been doing it for so long it's part of who I am.

Well it's not for money that's for sure, I'm just mad,quite mad!!!!!

It makes me happy to make people happy.
Happy people are nicer to each other.

Simplistic I know, but thats it really.

it makes me happy, it's joy for emotions and for the brain (lot to learn, lot to experience). and it makes me happy if others are happy, as pitch black said.

so both in the end.

or as mark everett says, i would have gone crazy without music, it's what lets me stay alive.

As a kid I made models, mainly WWII planes and ships.
As a teen a played guitar in bands
As a man I aim to write, record, produce and perform my own music.
I also played a lot of club cricket in my 20s and golf in my 30s.

I like it, i like it if other people like it. Whether they do or don't I enjoy it.

It's a fun hobby.

agreed. i've always gotten satisfaction out of entertaining others.

another thing for me is I like meeting new people, and creating connections. music is just another powerful form of communication. and for someone who "gets off" by connecting to people, that time when your performing, you're connected to every person in that room to some degree. you are having an effect on they're state whether they realize it or not. and for someone producing music, its almost like sharing parts of you that you couldn't share any other way. a truly unique form of self expression.

I have to write music,
If I didn't get these beats and sounds out of my head,
I would go insane, be in jail or dead.

I like this. If no one gave us music we would have no music to give. That's why I love making a little groove or beat or whatever and putting it on soundcloud and hope someone gets to find it and download it and experience it. Maybe it makes them feel a way they like to feel (the tingly spine feeling I like to call it Which I only get when I hear i really cool song.) or maybe it inspires someone who was in a creative rut or maybe it shows someone a new way to make a new groove. This is why I love music. And this is why I love you guys. <3

It's fun
I like making music no one has heard before
I like making the music I want to hear, but no one is making
I like giving music to friends, and writing music for gatherings
I like feeling like I'm part of a continuum of music history
I learn deep and meaningful things about life from writing music
I will go crazy if I go for more than a few weeks without writing/playing music
I love having a smoke and driving around listening to my own music
Music makes sense when nothing else does
I can listen to music now that I made years and years ago
I like helping my musical friends complete their projects
I like writing and performing music with other people
It's fun
