I still prefer the iPod Classic because it can fit all my music and I mostly use it in my car and it's a lot safer to control with hardware controls than having to look at the screen.

My email on iPad2 will not delete: I press delete, and I delete it from Trash, and when I open email again, even a few minutes later, the same mail is back again. This happens even if I have deleted it from the computer. Eventually it
goes away, but sometimes not for several days. However, if I read it first on the iPad and delete it, it removes it from my
computer.

Are you making sure after you press delete
to send it to the trash folder? After
you press delete there is a message
asking you where to send it.

When I delete emails they automatically to into the trash folder. I immediately delete them from there, so that as far as I am concerned, they are totally gone. However, the iPad2 does not seem able to get the message.

Are you using the POP or IMAP mail protocol?
They interact with the mail server at your
ISP quite differently. I think the IMAP makes
the iPad a viewing 'portal' onto your mail server
- in effect it is viewing those emails remotely
on the server. POP, on the other hand, downloads
the emails and only acts on them locally I believe.

If I remember the POP does not delete it
from the mail server - it merely uploads
it to your iPad. When you delete it on
the iPad it remains on the server. You
can usually configure your email server
to delete emails after a certain period
of time. There's often a setting on your
PC mail program to do this - for example
on Thunderbird or Windows Mail.
You can configure them to delete email
removed
from the Trash immediately,right?

gotta an ipod classic 120 that I'd be lost without and looking to find a good deal on a 160.
those things are monster useful, keep a nice chunk of my sample library on there, it doubles as a external hard drive, keep tutorial videos on it and kungfu movies wtf that's right, and if you have an issue with it and need to reinstall the os it wipes everything clean that is itunes specific and leaves all your other shit alone. battery charge last a good long time , the only thing I worry about is if they stop making those, there is currently no better portable sample library container that allows you to listen to your samples.

Good idea. It takes me several attempts
when I first pointed my POP email on the
iPad.

I still got a 30gb 5G Ipod from xmas 2005 and have NEVER had problems with it, even when from hacking the firmware to use a different skin, or that other hack that uses linux to give more functionality and file support, but it was cumbersome. Ended up going back to official firmware.

Having auto correct on when typing on an idevice is far better than having it off. I’ve turned it off and what I end up typing is usually a huge mess of words that don’t exist or are even close to what I meant, but they really need to allow you to add words to the database and quit correcting my fucking swear words.
