Re: T.V.
Loving the new season of Better Call Saul, although when it goes to a Mike subplot I get excited and then briefly bummed when it goes back to Saul. Great storytelling all around but Mike is The Shit.
Re: T.V.
Mike is the shit. Def my fav character in Breaking Bad - and in Better Call Saul
i'm gonna have to check out The Americans. didn't know about that one.
i've been watching The Following and I'm digging it pretty well. Not a huge Kevin Bacon fan, but i feel like he's doing a good job on this one.

Re: T.V.
Comcast replaced H2 with Viceland and from what I can ascertain Viceland is a channel dedicated to taking marginalized, victimized, or villainized segments of society and showing them in a global "we're all just people" hugfest, as if Occupy Wall St. didn't so much peter out as were offered their own TV channel at a later date if they would just STFU.
Well fuck that! Hitler documentaries never get old and now I have one less channel where that would be a probable possibility to see one.

Re: T.V.
Vinyl suffers from one of the main problems the second season of True Detectives had. None of the characters are likable. They are all way too self-involved and incredibly flawed.
Re: T.V.
okay... so i've been watching The Following for a while now. I just started S3. i think i keep watching it because i like the premise, i like the actor that plays Joe Carrol, and because i finally have something to watch with Kevin Bacon in it where his natural douche factor doesn't bug me. That last one isn't important though.
Here's what does bug me about the show and I'm getting a little about it.
1. No matter how many FBI/SWAT/Local Law Enforcement enter a building it is GUARANFUCKINTEED they will all melt away into some mysterious vortex that places Kevin Bacon that other dude and his niece as the only ones that will find what ever they are looking for. Seriously, 150 mofos can storm into a 2 story 3 bedroom house and only the same 3 will manage to find the bad guys (with one of the heros likely getting knocked out/down) every. fucking. time. The others are never anywhere close enough to intervene. Why even spend the $$ on the extras it takes to film the inertial storming of the house/compound/building? Is this the 1960's 70's 80's or is it 201x? I though we were past the John Wayne/Lassie The Wonder Dog shit.
2. They (Kevin, other dude, niece) will kick in or break any door almost without hesitation. They will shoot out the back window of any moving car to try and thwart the escape. BUT... in 3 seasons i have yet to see that fucker aim at a tire ONE GAWDAMN TIME. The car can be 15 ft in front of him, but instead of disabling it, he shoots the glass and creates a draft instead. Are we trying to give the forces of evil a cold or catch the fuckers?
3. I can't remember right now, but there's a 3.

3. How is it that these "Followers" all manage to kill someone almost instantly (regardless of whether it's their 1st or 21st victim) by stabbing them 1 (ONE) time right above the abdomen without fail?
I'm no expert in murdering folks, but I would think it takes some doing to be so precise with those wriggly victims refusing to hold still.
Re: T.V.
Hulu and YouTube announced plans to stream live TV in 2017. I don’t think Steve Job’s “I cracked it” comment in regards to TV content delivery really led to anything revolutionary, partially because he’s dead and partially because the entertainment industry thinks Apple screwed the music industry so they’re playing the obstruction card, but I think he lit the spark on where TV content delivery is heading now.
But I still think nobody should think they are going to get over on the cable industry. “With my 12 subscriptions to limited content and my top tier bandwidth plan I now pay $7 less a month than what I would pay for a cable package with access to everything. Take that Comcast! (or whichever cable provider you hate)”

Game of Thrones SPOILER ALERT. Satisfying season. Killed off a lot of the annoying characters and for a change didn’t kill off a character you don’t want to die. I was expecting a Stark family reunion at the end but didn’t happen. They’ll get there when they get there.
Re: T.V.
Watched the HBO series premier of The Night Of only available for streaming (HBOGo/HBONow) until sometime in July. Pretty intense. A lot of going “Oh shit!” throughout the entire episode. Saying anything more than that would be a spoiler.

Is this based on what ever the awesome movie with Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt was based on?
And what channel??
