It is a teaser. We will find out on Monday. Most probably a bomb.

I don't have the money but if I did it would be worth it.

We had the old Symphony system where I was working and it sounded great and was super low latency, but I didn't think it sounded quite as good as a Metric Halo ULN-8 or a Prism Orpheus (which can be used for PC as well as Mac) (to be fair, both of these cost more than the Symphony system and the Orpheus is not capable of being as super low latency).

Somewhere around 3-3.5k would probably be my guess on the pricing of this device.

I hear you. If you have the money and you want it, it's always worth it, no matter what it is or how much it costs.

My guess is $80.00 and it's going to blow the M-Audio USB Quattro right out of the water.

Fantastic. A friend recently went nuts and bought the Equinox Summing Mixer and the Mono Optograph & Dual Vandergraph compressors. They are the among the nicest pieces of gear I have ever used, probably the nicest period. Honestly, that is not hyperbole. Absolutely sublime and worth every single penny. Mind blowing.

in that price range i would also go for a metric halo instead of apogee.

apogee is great, but above 2000 dollars i prefer the ULN-8.

(actually i do always prefer MH over apogee, even the smaller ones)

I agree, they've got two Metric Halo interfaces at my school, they're rock solid and sound like someone has lifted a huge wet blanket from the speakers in comparison to my lowly gear.
But the new Apogee does look a lot sexier.

the included DSP with Metric Halo interfaces is also top notch.
