Sniping, conclusion jumping, name calling . . . mean spiritedness. I realize I am a geezer, but I think that few people care any longer about civility, and I miss even the veneer of propriety. Perhaps I should just turn off the internet and go play some guitar with some friends. Of course the minute I start talking about pro audio stuff, their eyes will glaze over - but they'll likely be nice about it. Ultimately we are all more alike than we are different - food, water, oxygen, sleep, music, love, - it shouldn't be so hard to get through a day without being an arrogant shit.

Maybe I just picked the wrong posts . . . I know there are good folks around here. Or maybe the moon is influencing everyone. Or maybe Toffler was right, and we all have Future Shock.

Anyone else noticing a devolution?

Ha - a skid row bar for audiophiles - I really like the sound of that! I actually enjoy the (usually hysterical) shit talking amongst peers, but I seem to have read a lot lately from peoples with like 2 posts who would then get all bent out of shape when someone tries to help, or asks them to be more clear about their question. Of course it seems some of the regulars have also got some pretty stupid battles going on, too. I suppose I'm just being a wussy hippie . . . probably because last night I watched "Deathsport" with David Carradine, with Jerry Garcia on guitar on the soundtrack (avoid that movie at all costs)
