a live version of this track was said to hold the record for being the loudest ever live track with an SPL measurement of 136.5 dB (rumour that 3 people near the front fell unconscious from effects of the noise) and given it is usually preceded by a 15 minute wall of looped white noise and guitar feedbacking must have been insane live. Guinness World Records have now stopped measuring this category as they say it encourages deafness and medical conditions they don't wish to be associated with. The band gave away ear protectors in 2008 with their shows, some of which were also measured at close to 140dB SPL.
