Macs can crash. Its not so easy to force them down, but its possible.
2: Macs don't get viruses, and it is impossible for a hacker to gain unauthorized access to a system running OSX.
If you know, how to hack it, its possible. For example: if you know how the Windowing Server works, you can control other applications. :D
3: All versions of Windows are bloatware running tons of services you will never need, and anti virus software, which you will ALWAYS need, in the background.
There are tons of services in OS X as well too.

From my point of view OS X is better than Windows. But its just yet another computer program. And as all programs contain bugs, OS X is not an exception. The most significant advantage of OS X is that this system is designed for concrete hardware only. That's making it so stable and solid. Personally I have to recommend Macs.

In the airport?

Whip out your mac and you are a DJ on your way to a gig in Tokyo. The lifestyle you lead and the personal work/life balance you are able to acheive with your mac enabled world amnd iPhone 4 are beyond the understanding and imagination of everyone else. You wear flip-flops to your meetings and have tribal tattoos on display. You have coloured Rayban wayfarer shades and an asymmetric hairdo. You are a bit of a cock and worry endlessly about whether or not you'll have sex with a boy or a girl this weekend (you're not fussed) and if your skinny jeans are clean.

Whip out your Lenovo laptop and you are on your way to an insurance sales conference. You are working a spreadsheet for your boss. You are your bosses beyatch. You wear black leather shoes and a cheap suit. Your hair is short back and sides. You drive a Ford Mondeo and spend your weekends washing it. You are a bit of a cock but worry endlessly about 'drivers' and 'defragging' your harddrive and, most importantly, you wish you had a mac.

simples.

Mac or PC, you DJ'S still have no talent. "Oh, press little buttons and pump our fists in the air...oh, DJ'S are geniuses"...give me a break.
To tell the truth many big DJ's do play instruments, they were just smart enough to realize that traveling around playing techno records for stoned ravers is a fun way to make cash and get laid a lot. You have to understand that most of these guys are having an absolute blast while making cash hands over fist, then have plenty of studio time between tours to work on music. Shit, some of them even retire off of it. Look at Richie Hawtin and his Cello work for example.

A lot of these cats hide the fact that they can play instruments for the same reason they developed fist pumping, christ posing, and other obnoxious behaviors. They'd much rather have ignorant chav's like yourself sulking in the back and being resentful as opposed to wising up and jumping aboard their cash cow.

Hope this helps.

Hello to everyone on this forum, am a bit of a virgin to this message board but have been using ableton for fair few years now. It is fast becoming my only DAW. I use it extensively in studio and live environment. My live setup is mac and my studio is PC...

Got to say that since I turned to the Dark side (the dirty Mac... after years of pc's) I will never go back. Especially with the laptop side of things. The only thing stopping me having a mac pro for my desktop studio workhorse is cash. They do rape the finance.

As far as macs never crashing, that is bollockss, try running avid media composer on one for a few days and see the pain of spinning rainbow death balls! With ableton though they seem a million miles away from my first laptop ableton setup using a p4 xp toshiba, which crashed loads.

What's an Intel chip doing in a Mac? A whole lot more than it's ever done in a PC.
