Mindblowing.

and speaking of mindblowing,
I've actually seen these here at a jazz-festival:

with an audience of seated chinstrokers at that
goodness! had to hide behind the coat racks and dance like a frog on 220V

oriental-ish, more accessible beauty:

jazz is a woman's tongue in your mouth
cool, licking you slowly, revolving around
inside your cheeks.
letting you know who's come to visit.

Anything by Moondog:

The 1969 album, Moondog is especially awesome - Bird's Lament is the source of Mr Scruff's Get a Move on - but the original is much, MUCH better.

john zorn -

his naked city stuff contains utterly stunning blends of jazz/hardcore punk/country and film soundtrack.
spy vs spy is speed thrash jazz with two drummers and two saxophones (if i remember rightly).
any of the masada stuff for more traditional jazz style albums reflecting his jewish roots. there's about 8 of them i think

thats three off the top of my head, he's done loads though

seen him four times - jaw dropping brilliance

nice stuff! I would add all the Masada book 2 albums (lucifer, bar kokhba, etc..)
and also his "mellow" jazz stuff like The Dreamers and O'o.

here are a few youtube examples

Yep.

In '86 a friend of mine called and said: hey Philip, Chet Baker will be playing next week in Arnhem.

So we went there, there where only 25 people, and Chet arrived 2 hours late.

He had to sit down, a complete wreck, but it was wonderfull.
