Yeah, it's like Cirque meets Deep Forest with some added glitch but not over the top. Cool stuff.

Also I'd say it's a little more Soviet Russia East than Arab East.

Interesting. Must be the result of my amalgamation. The instrument I'm playing is Turkish, and the melody uses authentic Turkish intervals. A friend has mentioned the Cirque vibe to me before. It seems to really come out in pieces like this. Glad the glitch is not over the top, I like it just for a little spice.

I'm bumping this thread because I like the song even though nobody else seems to give a damn. I hate people. :x

Here's some similar Deep Forest

Nice! That's a really cool track. I really like the flute part. A lot.

Also, thanks for giving a damn, beats. Deep Forest is definitely in a similar vein. Thanks for sharing :D

I'm digging this a lot as well.
I'm a big fan of Smadj, Dhafer Youssef and Eivind Aarset so your music fits right in there.
My only, very small criticism, would be that you could try adding some kind of modulation and/or some subtle beat repeat to the drum track. In my opinion it tends to get in the way a little a distracts from the more organic instruments that are moving about in time naturally.
Put some more tunes up and make them available for down load..
I likes it and i wantz more!

thanks guys :!:

Homebelly, I'll give those artists you mentioned a listen. As far as the drums using more rhythmic modulation, yeah, probably, but I didn't want to do too much with the glitchy type stuff, since that's way over done, usually. But I have a feeling you're referring more to general drum composition variance.

I actually have a bunch of free music for download on my website, including this one (http://www.azphodel.com) But like to get at least an email for my efforts these days.

Edit: I'll be posting up some even newer stuff soonish. Lot's of listening, hearing other folks stuff too . . .
