Don't know, but any kind of politically driven camp for kids just gives me the heebie-jeebies.

That, took all of two seconds. The republican one is really old and seems to be funded by the party. So maybe quit acting like this organization in Norway is some odd socialist agenda thing?

Although I still find this discussion in rather poor taste, I want to point out that it seems you guys have misunderstood this whole "camp" thing. Norwegian political parties all have their own youth organisations, and these gatherings are simply those kids getting together, having a good time, hanging out, discussing and listening to speakers and concerts. It is so far from the Tea Party indoctrination camps mentioned in that article that they're not even comparable. The latter is something TP fanatics send their kids to in order to make an army of mini me's to grow in numbers. The political youth getaways in Norway are 100% voluntary, and are sought by the kids themselves - kids who choose their political affiliations themselves, and actually have quite the plethora of political parties to pick from, as opposed to certain other countries.

i kinda liked Amy Winehouse. i've seen a lot of RIP threads on this forum... Michael Jackson, Gary Coleman, and Randy Savage... to name a few. maybe this thread should have been called something like "WTF was this guy's major malfunction?" because WTF does Amy Winehouse have to do with it other than the fact that she drew her last breath near the same time as the unfortunate souls that became victims of this gunman?
to all the people that are offended. please, remember how that feels the next time you're in a thread making fun of or taking pot shots on some other country's... any other country's... tragedy du jour.
i've never seen such a collection of half cocked fucking hypocrites as i have on this forum... and given the fact that i live in the U.S. AND have lived in the dirty south, that's saying something. if this strikes a nerve with you... and you want to reply to that last sentence... then you're exactly who i was talking about.
they're both tragic. the difference: Amy's wounds were self inflicted.
RIP Amy. RIP victims.
