Just joking.

I don't even know what we're talking about anymore...

lol. I was going to comment on how surprised I was at how this thread didn't get derailed until I realized we (I) stopped talking about albums at page one. Oh well, it was a positive derailment.

I get the sense that Britney's almost done because she's sick of the scene and wants to live a normal life of being a mama.

When she needs and extra million later, her and Janet Jackson will have a hit together.

Mark my words, Britney will be around for a very long time.

First, she's too interesting. Whether as a sex symbol or a lunatic or by smoking ciggs while preggers, people are always talking about her. If she gets fat, people talk and it's good for business. She gets skinny again, people talk and it's good for business.

Secondly, she's too profitable. She's marrying what appears to be a well connected agent and she made something like $64 million dollars in 2010. It's hard to turn your back on that kind of cash and earning power. As long as she doesn't get fucked up on drugs or booze, she stands to make several hundred million more, quite possibly could reach a billion if she plays her cards right.

Really, at this point, all she has to do is show up and put her stamp on things. Songwriters and producers are hard at work in hopes that they'll get a slice of the pie. Plus movies, TV, advertising, clothing lines, perfume. All that shit.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Sorry man. The first part's already happened. The only way she's getting stuck on drugs and booze is if she stays in the scene. She already got fat and all that shit. She's getting married, got her kid/s. This last tour is saving acorns for the next couple winters. She knows she's past her peak. She has no interest in proving herself as an artist (not that you said that). The next time she wants to get fucked up is when she's already out of the radar again and her and Aguilara need to get away from their guys for a "girls" night out.

But hey, for nostalgias sake and yours, I hope I'm wrong.

Okay, you know what? Santa Claus is REAL.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree then.

What do I know. Last pic I saw she had the gusto.

Hey, if she loves singing, she could end up doing the respectable thing and going the contemporary top-40 early Aguilera or Mariah Carey-ish route. You know, before it was decided that lost it's flavor and they needed to be sluts. Remember when Jewel tried to do that? Ouch. I don't think Adrian would've liked that.

Apples and oranges. Those girls can sing and/or write music and are way less interesting than Britney who is and always has been about sex appeal.

Revalation: She needs to learn the tenor sax and become a near master (the occasional fuck-up would keep some cuteness) and break it out just after the peak chorus, then it changes up a key and she starts playing along and going into heavy solos. It's totally in-line with the burlesque factor.
THAT would make people shit their pants.

Don't hold your breath. That would be straying from the formula. Keep that shit simple.

Then you must not have made 64 million dollars last year.

Clearly that's not enough to afford to step outside the safe-zone.
