Whelp, the Mala'kak are Bipeds... Unless they have mechanized legs.
...and they don't have snouts, it's a helmet.

So do you fellas think soundtrack music is getting better or I’m just bored with “normal” music? :x

And is it just me, or does almost all new action movie soundtrack music sound like it’s derivatives of the Inception soundtrack? :x

Film soundtracks always have cycles like that where somebody does something fresh and everybody starts copying the sound for the next few years. Happened with Thomas Newman's American Beauty score. After that you couldn't find an investment firm commercial that didn't have a marimba in the jingle. :x

 I expected more Dark Knight copycats:p

Agree with Scott in the SciFi arena; high hopes for Prometheus but won't be surprised if it's meh.
If you're a fan of Blade Runner the 3 hour-documentary is good. Good point about blood in the shot glass.

Like Stringtapper said, it's not you. There was a good analysis about how the Prometheus trailer is using some very similar sound elements to the original Alien trailer. I may have seen the link on this thread but I;m too lazy to check.

Exactly right. The whole ping-sonar sound and deep cello work in the first trailer is right from Alien.

Which made me cum in my pants upon first and subsequent viewings.

Prometheus looks like the 21st century Alien. I have since watching the preview marked my calendar and crossed my fingers hoping it's going to be as amazing as it looks.
