I just built a Mastering Studio and offering free mastering

Post by senator adam » Mon Apr 09, 2012 9:59 pm

After years of saving money up, I finally just built a Mastering Studio and I am offering free mastering for the next few months for experience. I have years of experience with mastering and producing, but I need to get more accustomed to my new studio setup. If you'd like to get your new tunes, album, EP, etc, mastered for free through some pretty incredible analog equipment, hit me up at my website: http://breakpointmastering.com. I've done a few now with really good results, and I just need more experience and reviews before I start charging.

I'm a producer that has a day job, and I'm getting tired of this 9-5 life and then making music later. So I thought I'd go all in, and I have a couple mastering engineer friends that have helped me along the way. Anyone that submits helps both of us. You get free mastering, I get experience and extra testimonials. I master all music styles.

My Equipment:

MONITORING:
Klein + Hummel O 300 Active Studio Monitors on Ultimate Support MS-90 stands,
GIK Monster Bass Traps and Tri-Traps,
ATS Acoustics Panels,
Sennheiser HD600 Pro Headphones,
All Mogami Gold cabling,

CONVERSION: Mytek Digital 8X192 - ADDA - 8 Channel Mastering Audio Interface

ANALOG PROCESSING: API 5500 Dual Equalizer,
Tube-Tech Stereo Multiband Mastering Compressor SBC-2BM,
Crane Song STC-8/M Mastering Version Discrete Class A Compressor,
Foote Control Systems P3S Mastering Edition Compressor,
Charter Oak PEQ-1 Stereo EQ,

DIGITAL PROCESSING:
UAD2 Quad Omni PCIe card (including plugins of Manley Massive Passive EQ, Ampex ATR-102 Mastering Tape Recorder, Brainworx bx_digital V2 EQ, Cambridge Parametric EQ, Pultec Pro EQ, and many more...,
iZotope Ozone 5,
iZotope RX2 restoration software,
PSP Audioware plugins (OldTimer Mastering compressor, NobleQ),
DMG Audio Equality Parametric EQ, Nugen Audio Stereopack 2, Sonalksis FreeG and Voxengo SPAN for analyzers

DAW:
Steinberg WaveLab 7
Ableton Live 8

Power Conditioning: Equitech - The Son of "Q"

Hope to hear from some of you. Click the Contact page and fill out the info so I know what project you are submitting. Cheers

Thanks man. It's been the plan for quite a few years, and I finally took the plunge this year. It's quite a huge plunge, but I'm hoping to get it going full time in the future. I just need the experience with this setup and I can't justify charging yet until I get lots of reviews.

I just did a psych-folk band's EP, and am now doing a dubstep album. So for sure, all genres are welcome :)
