A Question For Republicans (us politics)
Re: A Question For Republicans
Poor Democrat voter: My life is shit so I’m going to go with the party that sounds like they want to make my shit life more manageable and therefor I don’t need to aspire to more than a shit life.
Poor Republican voter: My life is shit but some day life might magically improve through my zero effort other than buying scratchers and lotto tickets. I’m going to go with the party that has my interest in mind once Jesus blesses me with the winning ticket.

i am still always amazed when either party talks about health "care"... seriously, they have their health "care" covered for life, fat paychecks, mansions and most of them own more than one home... WTF do they know/vaguely remember about how expensive [the farce called] health care can be for the the middle class and lower middle class who can't get a break but carry the entire country on their backs?
Re: A Question For Republicans
Don’t remember who I’m paraphrasing here but “Back in the day when you were poor you went to college and bought a house to join the middle class. Now when you go to college (school loans) and buy a house it’s the quickest way to join the poor.”
Re: A Question For Republicans
^ no doubt.
i'm moving back to Texas. if i'm going to be broke, i may as well do it on a 1/2 acre lot with 2000 sq ft. and cheap mexican food within walking distance.

Given that, my general apathy towards long term goals and big ticket asset ownership says I’m WINNING.beats me wrote:Don’t remember who I’m paraphrasing here but “Back in the day when you were poor you went to college and bought a house to join the middle class. My personal American dream has been downgraded to buying each generation iPad. Again, WINNING.
Do something about the climate and I'm right there with you.H20nly wrote:^ no doubt.

Their bill of goods is really a bill of sale ie they don't lie about it. They're proud of it. At least they're honest.beats me wrote: Republicans sell a bill of goods that blatantly only benefits the 1% and yet the majority of their loyal followers aren’t the 1% and they still go all in.

Re: A Question For Republicans
Seeing how the GSA has so wisely spent my tax dollars, I can't wait until the government is running health care.
omfg.
Honestly. After that episode how anyone can fucking put faith in ANY level of government is quite beyond my comprehension. Some people are saying - like the Secret Service thing - that it's a fluke. Doubtful. My line of thinking is that these episodes are like child abuse and rape = for every case that gets reported, a dozen or more are never revealed. For years upon years. How wonderful.

I’ll simply ask again the question that you ignored in a previous thread.
What is your solution to the health care problem AND you really think our government is more corrupt or inefficient than the other first world countries that have already had socialized health care for a long time?
Feel free to ignore that question. Again.

Doesn't the question pre-suppose that the person being asked agrees that a "health care problem" exists?beats me wrote:I’ll simply ask again the question that you ignored in a previous thread.

I worry about LSZ's health because this country makes it pretty damn difficult to have a completely physically and mentally healthy life. So when he comes down with one of the many standard American life threatening ailments how is he going to handle it when he doesn't have insurance.

My best guess is that the answer is: "not like a whining socialist pussy."beats me wrote:how is he going to handle it when he doesn't have insurance.
