Trouble with ableton 8 & ozone 5

Post by tomoram » Mon Apr 23, 2012 9:12 pm

Anyone else been having problems using ozone 5 in live 8 on window 7?

Once I open ozone in the project it becomes really sluggish, each mouse click takes about 5 seconds to respond (apart from zoom the menus).

What's even more annoying is once this has happen the project is stuck like this, even if I remove ozone, save the project, restart and open it up again it's still dog slow. Anyone got any idea how I can make an ableton project completely forget it even had ozone open?

I've noticed that it's not just Ableton, but also other DAWs/editors, that get REALLY sluggish when using IRC III mode in Ozone's limiter/mazimizer. Try going to IRC II or I. That usually helps. If you really want IRC III, just use IRC II while producing and then take Ozone off the master track when exporting, then bring the master stereo track back in and put Ozone on and do it proper with IRC III so that it's the only plugin being used. IRC III takes a lot of resources...
