holy shit. the tables have certainly turned. this makes ableton's midi editing look like a fisher price toy.

I really don't understand what abes is up to, because it really looks like they've just rolled over and given up.

Nope.

Some of them have worked at ableton. Eg Claes used to have his own company, he did a stint at ableton during the creation of L8, then left just before the public beta to start Bitwig.
They each have a varied history and spent various amounts of time at ableton, each doing different jobs.

But they aren't " the original developers"
