Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones
OK, finally decided to give it a try, and, after two episodes, I just have to ask: does all the good stuff that seemingly everyone has been raving about eventually start, or is the series in reality just a completely predictable yawn-fest strewn with a bit of gratuitous nudity to blank out the viewers' memories of having watched an hour of utter shite? In the latter case, I'll pass.
Television, man... SO 20th century.

Re: Game of Thrones
It gets better and as more characters are introduced, all their stories become more intertwined. Keep going!
Re: Game of Thrones
its a complicated story built on knowing the characters. so it often spends alot of time building those characters. but it pays off in the end.
and as great as the sex, gore and violence is in game of thrones, thats not what drives the series. its almost more of a mid evil political drama.

Yeah and don't worry about trying to remember all the details of who's who and who did what, it'll come good in the end.

I grew up in the North Of England so I thought it was a reality TV show.

SInce George R. R. Martin was born in New Jersey, I think he would take that as high praise indeed.Angstrom wrote:I grew up in the North Of England so I thought it was a reality TV show.

I enjoyed the lord of the rings BOOKS, but after 3 pages of A Song of Menopause and Dildos I wanted to gauge my eyes out.

Three pages. Right. Hyperbole, much?infernal.machine wrote:I enjoyed the lord of the rings BOOKS, but after 3 pages of A Song of Menopause and Dildos I wanted to gauge my eyes out.

No, the prologue is 3 pages. That was enough for me.

And everyone I know tells me "OH IT JUST GETS BETTER!!" and I say "No you morons, you just spent so much time reading it that you need to justify it to yourself by pretending you enjoyed it."
